Hello Bruneian populace!

I am finally home after my short trip to KL. Yes, it was productive. Alot of ticks to my shopping list! And so the holidays have been extended. Are we happy? Am I happy? not really. My assignments are 'clean' such that I haven't really done anything yet and i much likely won't be doing it anytime soon. Throughout the whole day i've been weighing out whether it's better to pray that the H1N1 worsens so school holidays get extended longer so that i have more time to prepare for school or to pray that it ends quickly so school would resume as planned? Ridhwan, enlighten me!!

Speaking of enlightenment, I find Islamia to be a good read.

Unfortunately, they have no guidance as to whether I should pray for the holidays to be extended or not =/

Beginning to run out of ideas as to what to do especially in home-quarantine. Nooo!

try pods dipped in chilled yoghurt. Oh so heavenly! It's a nice combination of 60% healthy and 40% junk. Guilty pleasure at its just i must say (:

i am getting really paranoid about swine flu! 25 cases as of today, what are we gonna do? should we panic or what? live life normally, act like nothing is happening?

i've been reading articles about swine flu. but i still don't get it. i could never understand medical facts, let alone knowing the difference between a cold and a flu. HAHAHA. so what will happen if someone got the flu? Quarantine that person so that no others will get it and stay that way until that person dies? Or if fortunate, a cure? Sepiah, enlighten me!

On a brighter note, the HOLIDAY is extended!!! Yayy. I seriously need this. Time to get back on track for the Qualifyings!

I have no more holiday suggestion but to just STAY AT HOME! LIMIT YOUR SOCIAL ACTIVITIES (if you fear getting the swiney!) Stay at home, revise and await the next term holiday!

ELEVEN H1N1 cases in Brunei whilst I'm gone. Oh Lord. This is so crazy like seriously.

Hello people. I just got back from KK. It was unexpectedly great, i have to admit. I had capslock fun there, i went to Manukan Island and Gunung Kinabalu. The trip was so refreshing! I love every single bits of it!

I seriously don't want to go back to school. I don't think anyone does. I haven't done my homework, I haven't started my revision for the Qualifyings and, I haven't dropped enough lbs for my skinnies.

I capslock need a freakin' capslock liposuction! I had SIX burgers during the six-days trip and I've been so unhealthy there. Diet spiralled out of control and I puked.

I just got back from my first proper yoga session at Om Place. I never thought my body could stretch as far as I did just now. I am not a slow exercise person so i tend to want to doze off every class but I yawned less this time around :p

On the other hand, school pressure is beginning to get me. I basically have to finish off Biology essays, Chemistry presentation, study the whole of ASEAN before school starts. I so hope MOE extends school holiday because of swiney fever!

What supposed to be a good family time together in conjunction to my dad's birthday turned out to be another home-alone night for me. My dad went out with his friends and my mum, with her friend went to my aunt's house all the way in Sengkurong. But knowing me, i won't settle for anything less than fun during this holidays. So what did i do?

I called up my fellow jiran tetangga kampung and even invited some jiran dari kampung lain to go cruisin brunei-style. We went to DQ but it was closed and so we went to visit dearest American friend who's been living in Brunei for almost 18 years already and brought her to Mamih ( told ya, Brunei style) Jiran dari kampung lain decided to sleepover so we had supper at 1 am and a hell load of fun.

It's fathers day, my parents are out again. Narppppp my family sure doesn't like family time.

Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there.
Kids, if you are out of ideas on how to celebrate...

It's well off midnight and in approximately six hours time i'd be wide awake prepping for surgery day. This time around, i won't be the one on deathbed. Ahh, the life of a doctor. It all comes too soon. Glad it's just a sneak peek.

It took me three days of holiday to think maybe this time my holiday would actually be fun. In spite of being home alone and not having the PEP we planned earlier this month, despite of the fact that I'm going to KK for SIX days. Oh my gee, yes I just freakin' realised it. Six days. Why am I doing there for so long? And I just found out my sisters are going well via a 15 mins flight. While I'm in on a ten hours bustrip. Bus full of strangers, and possibly urg tua. Oh Lord, what have I put myself into? Maybe I expected too much of it and i thought it was going to be the same like the epic trip Lnf/Uic had last year, where boys meet girls and drama happening non stop until now. (HAHAHA)

Ah well, atleast I'm going somewhere. Not stagnant at home staring at the laptop screen for hours and hours and then off to sleep. But now, I wouldnt be able to spend much needed time with my friends and the plans we have made before the holiday. Pemodo Part II. Guitar lessons dgn Sepiah & si bestfriend. Fishing and Parasailing with Sepiah. Chemistry sessions with Zul. Or just whateverness we're gonna do this holiday.

I'll be gone on Saturday till Thursday, which gives me three days before school reopens. I seriously hope I'm going snorkeling there.

After a long exhausting day in the sun doing endless mentally and physically challenging activities, all i want to do is retire to my bed. BUT i just needed to pen down something before i do.

Going back home, i realized how disgustingly dirty my skin was, (nya orang melayu bedaki) so my first destination as i set foot in my room was The Spa Bucket. Now, seriously, everybody NEEDS to have a spa bucket.

Five must-have things in a spa bucket:
1) Face scrub
Sepiah's Special:
-St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Pleasant smell and smooth finish on skin. Affordable. Available in all stores.

2) Body scrub
Sepiah's Special: Now it all depends on your budget. Here i've listed my three favourites with varying price and uhm, standard.

~High standard: FCUK body scrub/polish! The fragant smell is an instant mood-lifting! Price: not available.

~Medium standard:
-T3 body scrub. Now this is highly essential for people experiencing body acne but for those who don't, it's good for after-sports scrub because it actually has some medication thing to prevent god knows what toxins from collecting in your sweat pores. Available in all drug stores. Price: under $15

-Sari Ayu body scrub. This comes in two form: the cream squeezable tube type or the more liquid bottle type. DO NOT go for the squeezable type. Go for the bottle one because it's got rougher particles that efficiently scrubs off every minute daki from your body. It comes in two shades depending on your skin colour. Price: $6-$8

~Low standard:
- Okay this one comes in MANY brands. Indonesian made and you can get them in ALL stores in Brunei even kadai runcit. Don't laugh just yet because it DOES give you smooth and soft. I suggest Milk or Papaya as both are softening and whitening. Price: $1-$3.

3) Scrubber
Sepiah's Special: I once bought the wooden brush from Body Shop which was rather quite overly priced and the wooden handle couldn't smell any better than my cat's poo. So i opted for a cheaper and much more convenient glove which i got from Faceshop. (Mun inda tebali, scrub cuci piring yang warna hijau bulih jua)

4) Body butter or cream (note: NOT lotion)
The reason why I said NOT lotion is because body butter or cream locks in more moisture than normal lotion.

Sepiah's Special:
- Soap & Glory- The Righteous Butter. Oo, this one's simply irresistible. See for yourself.
-Palmers Cocoa Butter. Doesn't smell as nice but one of the best.
There are many more you can find outside Brunei. Go for the ones with Shea Butter. Most of which are available in cold countries only.

5) Shaver
Oh my lord, the unsightliest of all the unsightly would be bushy black armpits. Ladies, pluck, shave, wax. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES and just because you don't wear sleeveless or hardly wear them, that doesn't exempt you from shaving.

Okay so maybe you have this thought that bulus are like trees and if you cut down trees you contribute to global warming. SO WRONG. I think overgrowing bulus would even accelerate global warming! Germs and bacteria would collect and respire all the oxygen and all you get in return is... B.O!

Legs? Okay this one i think it's excusable. Unless you have a boyfriend or seeing someone. I know how tedious it can get. Teehee.

I know some people with sensitive skin may find it irritating(no pun intended!) to shave or use shaving creams such as Veet. Trust me even the Veet for sensitive skin gives me allergic reactions! I loathed the red stubbly post-shave marks i get so i discovered that applying Aloevera gel or any body lotion on to replace shaving cream does magic! Word of advice: Get something more liquid and not too thick lotion to make life a whole lot easier. Shaving is life.

I thought today would be a great ignition to kick off the holiday, but it was such a downer, physically speaking. What I get in the end were a couple of bruises and even, a permanent burn mark. It was an enjoyable day, nonetheless. Me and Sepiah were at Tasek Lama for the Team and Confidence Building, organised by the school featuring the BARA. I'm not going to talk so much about what we did, cos the others are going for theirs soon.

It started out really bad, I accidentally dropped my effin' memory card down am unreachable hole and I had to use a chewing gum and a long stick to bring it back. Then, we did really tiring activities like rock climbing, Aussie Rundown and river crossing. All three were freakin' awesome. They really test you hard, how far are you willing to go beyond your limits. I wanna do more rock climbing and run vertically down a slope!!! And the day ended really bad, as well. (Don't ask)

It has only been two days since the holiday started and i'm pretty sure everyone's still having tensed shoulders after hours of hunching as we all sat through revision and exam or perhaps strained calves as we hike up and down the mountain high stairs in school.

Now's the time to unwind and loosen up all the tangled tendons! Go for a massage.

I know everyone's probably trying to save up their monthly allowance just to go out with friends or sit in a cafe and have five-dollar-coffee and a ten-dollar meal. Massage probably isn't just the right way to spend thirty bucks on, especially for one hour.

Ahh, here's when Sepiah's wits come in handy so listen up: You don't need some fancy high-end spa to get a superb masseuse!

Joe Jen Salon located just above Hua Ho Gadong provides one of the best Thai and Indonesian massages in town for just as low as $10 per hour! If you're looking for something more refreshing, then Sepiah suggests you take the scrub and sauna package for a well-worth two hour session costing about 30-35 bucks. (And no, it isn't some rat reigned, run down place, plisssss lah Sepiah pun ada standard okay?)

just because the sun doesnt shine here, doesn't mean that it's not sunny on the other side

this morning i was enthusiastically anticipating the RA event; an event my friends and i have planned to go to weeks in advance. however, just like any other proper, advanced plans we have decided upon, it all turns out to be just as dismal as a school day. the suffocating atmosphere allowed no space for my Coach to stride, and no air for its owner to breathe. all around were photographers; some professional and some self-proclaimed professional as they strut around with their DSLRs. jeez, so last summer.

so, all that time i was thinking to myself "wow, so much for a summer holiday headstart, summer indeed as it was icky sticky hot." after perhaps just a thirty minute look-see of the event, we feebly left the building and on to a boring(...or so i thought) ride with my mum to Kiulap.

long story short, we got bored, as expected, but my mum ended up offering the car keys to us.

at the end of the day, you have four un-licensed kids cruising aimlessly in a Benz. and i'm still in one piece.

so when the sun doesn't shine in one place, don't worry cos it'll come and find you! ;)

holiday 101 #1: if you're under eighteen and you're out of your mind bored, DRIVE!
